Hair Spa At Home: 5 Easy and Effective Steps For Healthy & Nourished Hair
Quarantine season has turned every other person into a specialist in baking and cooking. Isn’t it? I have been seeing everyone’s story where they bake luscious cakes and make scrumptious dalgona coffee. But, keeping everything aside, this season has legit made us eat more than we actually eat.
But, why should we stuff ourselves with unhealthy snacks? Can’t we eat something healthy which tastes toothsome too?
Well, yes we can.
Today, I am sharing a list of healthy and easy evening snacks that anyone can make within a short span of time. So, here we go.
Step 1 - Oiling & Massaging
After taking up all the worries, you have to put them aside and get some hot oil champi. So, heat some coconut oil or olive oil in a pan for 5 seconds and pour it in a bowl. Now, ask your dear ones to give you a highly-needed massage. Make sure you rest throughout this activity to relieve stress and nourish your hair with the goodness of hair oil.
You can also make a DIY hair oil which works great for dull, dry and frizzy hair. In a pan heat coconut oil and add olive oil, almond oil, hibiscus flower, Amla extracts and fenugreek seeds. Let everything boil and then, pour it in a container once it cools down. Trust me, this will solve all your hair care issues.
Step 2 - Loads of steaming
You cannot fumble this step at any cost. For this, you can wear a steam cap or dip a towel in hot water and wrap it around your oiled hair. Steaming helps in instant detoxification of your cuticles and penetrates the oil deep into your hair. Do this step for about 6-10 minutes and, you will instantly feel the freshness in your hair and scalp.
Step 3 - Wash your hair
The not so fancy but very important step in the hair spa ritual is washing your hair. Always remember that washing hair with hot water can be dreadful. Wash your hair with cold water using a mild shampoo which is not too harsh on your hair and is free from toxins and chemicals.
You can use the trick of diluting the shampoo before use to make it work even better. Massage your scalp in circular motions to eliminate the dirt and grime if any.
Step 4 - The ultimate conditioning
After shampooing your hair, conditioning comes next. Using chemical-based conditioners can prove to be a disaster for the entire hair spa session. So, you can use Hibiscus Gel, Aloe Vera Gel and some Shea Butter in a bowl and mix them well.

Step 5 - The final step - Masking
Every step will be a mere activity if you don't follow hair masking. To seal all the nourishment and nutrients that your hair gained, you have to apply a hair mask. For this, you can go with Loreal Hair Spa Cream (if you have one).
However, my heart goes out for simple yet effective DIY recipes. In a bowl take two eggs, 2 drops of tea tree oil, olive oil and 4 vitamin E capsules (extract the oil). Mix everything well and apply it on your hair for about 30 minutes. Now, rinse it off with a mild shampoo. The very simple and easy 5-step hair spa session is now over. You can do this hair spa at home once in a month to notice visible results. However, always remember that consistency is the key to frizz-free, soft and shiny hair.
