Unstoppable Isha Tyagi: Breaking the standard norms of beauty

Glitz and glamour have long been the bastions of size-zero models, but Isha Tyagi is setting new beauty benchmarks as a body-positive, plus-size model and influencer. Style and fashion fascinated Isha from an early age. Apart from the runway, the next best place to flaunt her love for fashion was the world of event management. As an event planner in Gurgaon, Isha networked to find business opportunities. Little did she know that one day she would sashay in a designer ensemble amidst a sea of onlookers and be crowned a beauty queen.

In 2022, Isha decided to audition for the GlammOnn beauty pageant. Her behind-the-scenes experience as an event curator helped her brave the pressure of gruelling grooming sessions and the unflinching self-confidence and self-respect that cinched the crown.

There was no looking back. She collaborated on The Curvy Ladies, India’s first plus-size calendar movie, and co-founded Asian International Fashion Week to make the runway a more inclusive and positive space for women and leverage social media for greater impact.

“I embrace failure as a learning step to success and never allow my sense of self to be challenged by outside perceptions,” says the vibrant Isha, who has over 100,000 Instagram follower.

“Flowers do not compete with each other; they just bloom,” says the social media star as she urges women to embrace body confidence with pride. The unstoppable Isha Tyagi is creating new beauty milestones on the ramp and runway, inspiring others to do the same.
