Inside view of Sonam Kapoor's Fashionista Wedding

B-town weddings always garner a lot of curiosity and eavesdropping and recently there was much speculation about Bollywood fashionista, Sonam Kapoor's wedding. To live to her image, Sonam made the fashion statement with her wedding by giving it a dress code - Indian Traditional and everyone else followed.

Adorning a gorgeous red lehenga by Anuradha Vakil, Sonam Kapoor made a stunning bride as she was all set to marry her long-time love and Bhane owner Anand Ahuja this morning. The feminine and ethereal red lehenga patterned with lotus flowers and a wide gold border started trending on Instagram in no time. Like any other Indian bride, Sonam was adorned with an intricate maang tikka, red bangles, and heavy bridal jewellery. What completed this stunner's look was her bright smile that reached her eyes, expressing her overwhelming happiness on her big day.

On the other hand, the dapper groom, Anand Ahuja was clad in a golden sherwani with a ruby contrast mala matching his bride's outfit. The wedding took place at Sonam's aunt's bungalow in Bandra according to the Sikh traditions.

The Anand Karaj began around 11 am to 12.30 pm and was graced by family members and close ties. The ceremony was followed by a grand lunch and a reception for the newly-weds will be held in the evening. The bride's father, Anil Kapoor, was spotted posing in front of the media, while welcoming the guests outside the wedding venue. Following the traditional theme of the wedding ceremony, Anil Kapoor was seen wearing an ivory sherwani.

While Sonam's sister Rhea Kapoor was pictured dressing up the bride, her brother Harshvardhan Kapoor was seen posing with the famous B-town producer and director, Karan Johar. Other cousins of the bride, Janhvi, Khushi, Arjun and Anshula were also seen posing in their gorgeous outfits, pictures of whom went viral on Instagram.

Pre-Wedding Festivities The pre-wedding festivities at the Kapoor house began on Saturday, with the faade being decked up with lights and decorations. A lavish pre-mehendi ceremony paved way for the official mehendi, combined with the sangeet and choora.
