Meet Faizi Khan - unstoppable Author, Storyteller, Trainer, and Founder-Khayalon Ki Udaan, an award-winning entrepreneur living her life by telling stories with her vision to help people celebrate their lives directly or indirectly.

Coming from a small tehsil in Bijnor district, her childhood was a medley of theatre, and stories, championing social justice and education for all. Strong academic credentials led her to follow the conventional path of corporate life but her free spirit yearned for more self-expression.

She worked in one of the world’s biggest tech firms, but her heart was set on creating a career that gave her the freedom to use her storytelling skills, love for books, and teaching in impact-driven initiatives. So the techie Faizi decided to hang up her nine-to-five corporate boots to become a storyteller Faizi.

She says, “If you don’t know what to do or get lost, go back to basics”. In her struggling days when she was looking for some answers, she went back to her childhood. She remembered how her father would read her stories of Booker T. Washington and others. His book Up from Slavery had a chapter, Struggles for my Education which taught her that if one works hard, one has the power to change one's destiny. She attributes her deep thinking and strong foundation to her father’s teachings.

Cut to 2018, when her career took flight with Khayalon Ki Udaan - an initiative that integrates personal development and social change through the power of creative and experiential storytelling. Today, she performs from Jammu and Kashmir to Andaman Nicobar Island, and all over India for her storytelling performance tour, 'Kalam ki Zuban with Faizi.'

Faizi further expanded her career repertoire to become a sports anchor, and her marathon story-telling workshops are much sought after today. Creative pursuits are challenging and her story has been no different. Social apprehensions, occasional self-doubt, a global pandemic, and learning the art of monetizing her talents have been a learning curve. Determined, Faizi has crossed the hurdles with mental and physical fortitude, attributes that marathon running has instilled in her.
