Connexus Global Ventures in partnership with Google’s Women Techmakers Program Celebrates Diversity in Entrepreneurship

Gurugram, India – August 9, 2024 – Connexus Global, in partnership with Google’s Women Techmakers Program, successfully hosted an event that placed a spotlight on the critical role women play in driving global economic growth through entrepreneurship. The event, titled "Diversity in Entrepreneurship: Women's Contribution to the Global Economy," brought together prominent women leaders in business and technology to discuss and celebrate their impact on the global economy.

The event kicked off with an inspiring welcome note by Founder and CEO of Connexus Global Ventures, Devapriya Khanna. She eloquently shared the purpose behind launching Connexus Global Ventures and reflected on the key milestones achieved thus far, while also offering a glimpse into the company’s exciting plans for the future.

One of the key highlights of the event was a thought-provoking fireside chat between Devapriya Khanna and Rashi Narang, Founder of Heads Up For Tails. Titled "From Passion to Scale: Growing a Values-Centered Business," provided attendees with an intimate conversation between two industry pioneers. They discussed their entrepreneurial journeys, the importance of staying true to core values, and strategies for scaling a business while maintaining its foundational principles.

Following the fireside chat was an engaging panel discussion on "Women in Business: Transforming the Digital Economy." Chaired by Neetii Maacker, Design Thinking Coach and Co-founder of Vasarte, the panel featured distinguished leaders including Prajakt Raut, Managing Partner of Caret Capital; Shivaarti Bajaj, Managing Partner of RSD Bajaj Global; and Chhavi Garg, Co-founder of Arexa and Bharat XR. The discussion touched upon the unique challenges and opportunities faced by women entrepreneurs in today’s digital economy, covering topics such as accessing capital, scaling businesses, fostering inclusive workplaces, and driving digital transformation.

As part of the LeadHER Connect event, Connexus Global was honored to feature Dolly Bhasin, founder of SmartEdge and a WTM ambassador, in an insightful session focused on the role of technology in scaling small businesses. With 38 years of experience in the ICT industry, Dolly Bhasin has made a significant impact through her pioneering work with SMEs and the hospitality sector. During her session, titled "The Impact of Technology on Scaling Small Businesses," Dolly shared her vast expertise and unique perspective on how technology can drive growth and innovation for small businesses.

The event underscored the critical role that women play in the global economy through entrepreneurship. By bringing together thought leaders, entrepreneurs, and professionals, Connexus Global and the Women Techmakers Program aimed to inspire and support every generation of women leaders.
