How to prevent student suicides
Last week came with bad news. 7 students committing suicides on account of failing in entrance examinations, board exams. In fact, according to Lancet report in 2012, every hour, one student commits suicide in India. Now, India has one of the world's highest suicide rates for youth aged 15 to 29. One commits suicide in cases of very high anxiety and depression when one feels that there is no more hope left and there is no alternative. Can we stop this? How to prevent this bright generation from losing hope and committing suicide. Watch this interview with Pragatti Rao talk about students pressure, anxiety, depression and how we as parents can help them.
