Bereaved by her husband's passing, she turned to her enduring loves- creativity and Indian fashion and textiles- to overcome crippling loneliness. And soon with steadfast resolve, she built a fashion brand from the ground up.

Giving up was neither a choice nor an option Shalini ever wanted to make, and despite the tough entrepreneurial terrain of eight years, she soldiered on. Determined to make Indian weaves, especially the ubiquitous salwar suit, a power statement, Shalini plunged into the nitty-gritty of business head-on.
