Unforgettable Highlights From Priyanka & Nick's Wedding

It is not an exaggeration to say that the world is reeling from all the pictures and videos from Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas wedding. The couple is redefining the concept of a Big Fat Wedding, from the fabulous bachelorette to the stunning wedding that is no less than royalty is. What makes their wedding even more epic is their loving acceptance of each other's diffence of culture, race, age. Where It Began

Nick and Priyanka met at the Oscar's after party. After that the made an initial public appearance together at the Met Gala and many frequent appearances after that. Their cutesy charm and comfort around each other instantly warmed the hearts of their fans. Nick and Priyanka appeared together at Mukesh Ambani's son's wedding and everyone started talking about a wedding that might be on the cards. The couple took the first step to confirm these rumours with a Roka ceremony held at Priyanka's residence in Mumbai earlier this year in August.

Priyanka's Dream Bachelorette

Chopra got a dreamy bridal shower at Tiffany's Blue Box Cafe in New York attended by her cousins, sisters-in-law and best friends from Hollywood. An extravagant bachelorette party in Amsterdam followed this. Of course, the girls had lots of fun getting drunk and giving each other piggyback rides. No wonder they got the married ladies jealous and set major goals for the unmarried ones!

Pre-Wedding Festivities

It started on the 26^th of November with the wedding party arriving in Mumbai and taking over the town for the night. There was a puja held at Priyanka's house in Mumbai where the bride adorned a stunner powder blue salwar suit. Nick played the part of the perfect Indian groom in a pale kurta. After this, the families made their way to Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur. The pictures only make us wish we were a part of the bridal party!

Mehendi

Priyanka's Mehendi ceremony saw the bride in a colourful Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla outfit and she was all laughter. The groom seems to have acclimatized to India and pulled off another kurta. The pictures suggest there were lots of jokes exchanges we only wish we were privy to!

Sangeet

This Priyanka-Nick Sangeet is the stuff of dreams. The video has taken everyone by surprise for the grand execution that till date no one has seen in any wedding. The families danced to the songs that feature the couple and told their stories. There was definitely a competition between the bride and groom's families but the spirit of fun took over soon enough.

The Wedding

December 1 saw the wedding of the couple, officiated by Paul Kevin Jonas, Nick's dad. The bride wore a white fitting gown with a 75-foot long sheer veil, designed by Ralph Lauren himself! The designer himself designed this piece and it is even more special for the fact that he has never designed wedding dresses for anyone outside his family. Looks like we are not the only one who wish Priyanka Chopra was a part of our family! The next day the couple got married the desi way. Priyanka Chopra looked super graceful in a red Sabyasachi lehenga while Nick sported a cream sherwani by the same designer. The pictures definitely vouch for the love the couple has for one another.

Reception

The first reception is supposed to be held in Delhi at Taj Palace. She looked like the epitome of charm and grace in her white Falguni Shane Peacock India lehenga and Nick jiju could not take his eyes off her! Who can blame him? Phew!
