Women Solo Travel: Be A Tourist In Your Hometown
Solo travelling is definitely on everyone's mind. If we are not currently doing it we are for sure planning or dreaming about it. It is very interesting to discover that women globally dominate the solo travelling scene. According to a research on female travel statistics, it has been found that 75% of those who take adventure, cultural or nature trips are women and 86% of women state that they are not afraid to travel.
This tremendous increase in the number of women solo travellers can be attributed to a lot of factors. It is because of the fabulous features that google has come up with and a thousand different apps which you can have on your phone screen for multiple purposes like navigating, finding a suitable abode, food and whatnot. Girls! You need not be disappointed if you have been juggling hard to get a thumbs up from your parents to get started for the wonderful adventures of travelling all alone by yourself. There is an exciting and simple way to do this wherein getting permission won't be an issue for sure. Do you know your own hometown inside out? Are you even acquainted with the interesting streets and mysterious buildings your city might have? Have you ever been to that roadside tapri which is popular among generations of your city?
I am pretty sure while you are busy cooking stories of the adventures of a solo travel to the dreamy beaches of Costa Rica, or the citylights of New York or the watery land Venice, you are definitely missing out on collecting memorable stories and discovering yourself in the very place where you were born and have lived for years now. You can head out with a bucket list and divide your travel into different segments and guess what! You will be amazed to discover how many stories your city has in store for someone who is out there with an initiative to unfold them. Go to places of historic importance, stay in a nice hotel maybe for a day or two, visit the popular cafes and restaurants. Observe the place from a stranger's perspective and discover new things about your place which you can share with your friends and family to educate them more about the city and its various unknown and undiscovered aspects.
Just like they say Charity begins at home, apply the same funda with your solo travel plan. Get to know your place thoroughly before venturing out to a completely new land. This will give you a good experience and will prepare you for the different challenges that might come your way in a foreign land with new culture, people and language.
